Update: A one day delay at the printers has meant that the new North Somerset book is now going to be delivered to Dick’s Climbing on Friday 7th Dec.
Great Western Rock are proud to announce their third publication. After months of hard work North Somerset Outcrops Vol. 1 will be available from early December.
In case folk have been wondering ‘what the hell has happened to the Bristol Area Limestone Book?’, well its been on hold over the summer as I have been sorting out some business issues but more significantly have added another crag to the book and this is taking some work.
Should be out this autumn though so watch this space! (and guidebooks are always late are they not? 🤣).
If you’ve not found our crag database yet, head over there now and have a look!
Our crag database currently holds a complete list of all the sport climbing available in our guidebooks, and in doing so provides a quick and easy way to target the routes you want to climb.
Use the grades menu to find routes of a certain grade, or use the search function to find something more specific. Alternatively, just browse via areas or crags – Google maps locations included.
Our database will grow over time, adding more routes and details on undocumented crags that you won’t find in the guidebooks!
If you have anything to add, do get in touch.

remember its a very limited print run and will NEVER be reprinted!!!!!
During the production of our new guidebook to the Frome Valley area, one local activist seized the opportunity to document history in the making.
The film will be shown on the 11th October at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
